Two weeks from today the Rangers will be opening training camp for the 2008-2009 season. The time all us hockey fans love is finally getting closer after a long, grueling summer of reading armchair GM trade proposals, rumors that may or may not have been true, and the Mats Sundin saga.
A small bit about that. Sundin stated yesterday that he will NOT make any decision about playing until after the season has started. It really shouldn't be any surprise to anyone but it seems all those times spent waiting to see what Sundin would do next was all for naught. Look for teams to start moving away from him and filling their holes with what is left on the free agent market and through trades.
Here on the blog, more articles will be written as training camp gets closer to starting. Mike and I will try to update this as much as possible as we work around school and other commitments that we have.
Our radio show will be continuing obviously and as we mentioned on the show yesterday, we are looking into affiliating with one of the school radio stations (Fairfield or Sacred Heart) to try and bring a better show to the listeners. Any feedback about this is greatly appreciated from you. You can put that feedback here, or send us an email @ firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take a look at what you guys have to say. Don't forget to send us questions or topic suggestions as well in this time of little news.
So look for us to get more up and running as the summer winds down and the temperature drops around the country. Hockey time is almost here and not a moment too soon.
